Tue, 01 Apr 2014 23:15:13 GMT — The Davis County Players will be putting on "The Dixie Swim Club" this weekend at the Iowa Theater. The play is about five Southern women who meet in college and continue their friendship throughout their adult lives. The show is co-written by two writers of the TV show "Golden Girls" and will keep the audience laughing from start to finish. The actors say anyone can find a character in the show they relate to. It's also a story that will appeal to men, women and children. "It's a story about friendship, yes, friendship in general, but most definitely friendship among women," said Michelle Grob, who plays Sheree. "Women who meet in college and go all the way as very best friends until they're 77. And it's all about supporting each other in good times and the bad times and that there's nobody like your best friend that you can harass and share things with." "Dixie Swim Club" runs Friday and Saturday at 7 pm. Tickets are available at Perfect Touch Wellness Center in Bloomfield or at the door on the night of the show.
