Developing Essential Learning Through Agriculture, commonly known as D.E.L.T.A., is an organization composed of individuals associated with individuals who have disabilities.
D.E.L.T.A. serves individuals with disabilities by providing agricultural experiences and training to enhance their everyday living and future livelihood.
It provides job training and opportunities for disabled individuals to learn productive skills in growing, processing and marketing agricultural items.
â??We came together because we felt like there was a need in the area for individuals with disabilities to be able to get outside to learn agricultural skills,â?? said D.E.L.T.A. board member Valerie Arambasick Johnson. â??There are employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities and agriculture is little to none.â??
The group plans events for other individuals to donate to help those who a re disabled get employment and education in the field of agriculture. If you would like to donate call 660-665-5142 or send an email to email@example.com
