Dinner benefit brings money in for fire department
A Heartland community came out to support their local fire department.
The Greentop Volunteer Fire Department held a pork steak dinner benefit Saturday afternoon. The event was held at the fire department building.
With a free will donation of any amount people helped themselves to a delicious supper.
The food consisted of pork steaks along with mash potatoes and veggies for sides. There was also a variety of pies for dessert.
All of this was done to help raise money in support of the fire department.
Firefighters told us that they appreciated the community support. They also mentioned that every little bit of money helps with the up-keep of their organization.
