Downtown Kirksville, Truman State, and A.T. Still planning to work together

The Kirksville Downtown Improvement Committee is going to collaborate with a vital part of the community to help bring more life to downtown.

During the committee's monthly meeting on Tuesday, some of the items discussed included a membership drive to get more residents active with downtown and prepare a meeting with the presidents of Truman State and A.T. Still Universities to see how the schools and the students can play more of a vital role.

"A collaboration between all the minds to find out what they are looking for from us as a downtown membership. Things on what we can provide the students and the university. The same way on their part, looking to see what they can offer to us between resources and student activities," said Committee President Justin Tallman.

The committee is expected to meet with the university presidents on Monday January 28.
