Sat, 26 Jul 2014 20:57:07 GMT — Saturday marked the 168th Drakesville Reunion in Drakesville, Iowa. They did have add a new event to the tradition for this year though, the Fishing Derby. Almost 20 kids competed to win the title of biggest fish, smallest fish, and most fish caught. The "Most Fish Caught" winner caught seven, in sizes ranging from nine to 13.5 inches.The reunion started Thursday and goes through Sunday and includes music concerts, a petting zoo, a tractor pull, and many other games for kids. Fishing Derby organizers say the new event helped to get youth involved in the Reunion."We just didn't have enough for the children and we really want to incorporate the kids into these activities here and get them going," said Angie Hobbs.Hobbs also said they are excited for next year??s events.
