Driver escapes uninjured from rollover crash near Kirksville airport
MILLARD, Mo. —
A driver escaped a rollover crash late Tuesday afternoon near Kirksville with only minor injuries.
Shortly after 5:30 p.m., emergency crews responded to a one-vehicle rollover on Highway 63 just south of Kirksville Regional Airport near Millard. An official on scene told KTVO the driver suffered cuts and bruises, but nothing more serious. She declined transport by ambulance for further treatment. Her SUV was not as lucky, sustaining serious damage.
Initial reports indicated that the driver, the only occupant of the SUV, was headed north on Highway 63 toward Kirksville when she crossed the grassy median and rolled over, coming to rest in the left southbound lane.
The name of the driver and more details will be available later Tuesday night when the highway patrol completes its investigation.
