      Driver walks from overturned semi

A tractor trailer overturned on Route W in Schuyler County, just west of Queen City and the driver managed to walk out alive.

UPDATE: The Missouri State Highway Patrol identifies the driver of the big rig as Christopher Duncan, 33, of Ottumwa, Iowa.

The trooper at the scene said a tire blowout on the trailer is what caused Duncan to lose control of the vehicle.

Duncan received minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to Northeast Regional Medical Center to be checked out as a precaution.

A tractor trailer overturned on Route W in Schuyler County just west of Queen City, and the driver managed to walk out alive.

Late Tuesday afternoon we're told the driver of the semi was traveling westbound on Route W when he somehow lost control of the tractor trailer, ran off the right side of the road and overturned.

There were several pieces of twisted metal and other debris scattered along the side of the road. It appeared that the truck was hauling some type of grain.

A Missouri State Highway Patrol officer tell us once he arrived on the scene, the driver was out of the truck and on the phone talking to his wife.

The trooper said it appeared that the driver had no apparent serious injuries, but he was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
