Dust off your dancing shoes for a good cause

Truman students and the Kirksville community are strapping on their dancing shoes for a good cause.

Trumanâ??s Greek Week Committee is sponsoring a Dance-A-Thon to celebrate Greek Week and raise money.

Proceeds will go towards Kirksvilleâ??s Victim Support Services and Greek Scholarships.

Victim Support Services provides services to men, women and children who have been a victim of any type of abuse.

Greek Week is celebrated by giving back to the campus and community.

The event will take place April 4 on the campus Quad at 7 p.m. with a rain site of Pershing Arena.

This yearâ??s theme will be Glow in the dark 90â??s inspired by Nickelodeon.

â??Weâ??re going to have different types of dance, different types of music,â?? said Alumni Engagement Intern for Greek Life, Taylor Thompson. â??Weâ??re going to have different events for people in the community to do, you can pie a friend, stuff like that. Weâ??re going to have free glow in the dark merchandise and free food for people who participate in the event.â??

Community members have until April 3 to form a team and register for the event.
