Eating chili and let the best one win
Kirksville residents had a chance to enjoy hot chili on a cloudy and chilly day for a great cause.
The 8th annual Moose Lodge Chili Cookoff took place Saturday afternoon.
For only $5, people got to sample chili from 14 different teams.
Every type of chili you could imagine, from original to deer meat, even bacon chili, was served.
It was great food and fun for families to enjoy.
"We love the community support. We're very grateful for them coming out and sample all 14 chilis. It's amazing how much you can eat through 14 teams," said Golden Eagle Member Denise McVay.
The top three winners from the cookoff won cash prizes. There was also door prizes for everyone who came out.
All the money raised from Saturday's event will go toward all the local moose charities in the area.
