Edge seeks re-election to Kirksville City Council

Roger Edge, Sr. is seeking re-election to the Kirksville City Council.

After serving as a council member for three years, Edge is preparing his campaign for Aprilâ??s City Council elections. As a councilman, Edge serves on the Affordable Housing Board and the Northeast Missouri Resource Conservation and Development Council.

He also serves as a member of K-REDI, Chamber Governmental Affairs and is the Council Representative for the Kirksville Downtown Improvement Committee.

Edge spoke with KTVO about his plans if re-elected this year.

â??I want to continue the razing of old buildings and stores in Kirksville so that they can be replaced with retail stores. I want to expand or relocate in Kirksville. Since Iâ??ve had the experience as a city councilman, I feel that I can give something back to the city council and also be an asset to the city of Kirksville,â?? says Edge.

Edge was first elected to the Kirksville City Council in April 2011.

So far, Kirksville resident Michael Ambrosia is the only other candidate who has filed to run for the position.
