A Wapello County Jury has found a southeast Iowa man guilty in connection with a fatal crash that killed his father in late 2012.
The Wapello County Clerk's Office told KTVO that Donald Gridley, 46, of Fairfield was convicted Tuesday of homicide by vehicle.
It took jurors less than an hour to reach that verdict.
The charge stems from a December 2012 crash in rural Wapello County that killed his 65-year-old father, Patrick Gridley.
The investigation into the crash determined that Donald Gridley had been the driver of the wrecked pickup, and his blood alcohol level at the time was 0.198.
Gridley has a history of fatal drunken driving accidents. Online court records show a conviction for operating while intoxicated and involuntary manslaughter stemming from a 1992 incident.
Now, Gridley is being held without bond in the Wapello County Jail.
A sentencing date for Gridley has not yet been determined.
