Fairfield Police respond to train incident
We 're working to get more information about a train incident in Fairfield, Iowa.
Around 7 p.m. Saturday evening we got a call about an accident involving a train off North D and East Grimes Street, just a few blocks northeast of the Fairfield Square.
Once our crew got there, police and emergency responders would not confirm whether or not the incident was a crash or if there have been any injuries resulting from this incident.
The BNSF Railway Company train was stopped on the tracks for at least three hours Saturday, and caution tape lined the scene.
We are waiting for a statement from the Fairfield Police Department. You can check back here on our website for updates as this story develops.
