Fairgoers aren't chicken about taking care of their animals
Tue, 16 Jul 2013 14:09:04 GMT — It's fair season and our fair coverage continues at the NEMO Fair in Kirksville. Our cameras were there Tuesday morning as the chickens, roosters and turkeys were checked in at the poultry and rabbit barn. There were several 4-H members and kids up bright and early Tuesday morning helping to bring the poultry in. We spoke with Hunter about how he takes care of his chickens. "On a hot day we go down and make sure that all chickens have food and water," said Hunter Vanhouton. "We'll its got this shoe polish you just kind of rub it on them to make it shiny and that's what i usually do to make it's body shine." The NEMO Fair has a long list of challenges, activities and shows for the entire family to enjoy.
