Family Fun night brings the Carnival to Kirksville
KIRKSVILLE, Mo. —
The PTA family fun night will be Saturday October 7th, from four to seven P.M.
The theme for the event is carnival night, with plenty of activities for both parents and kids.
They plan on having inflatables, food trucks, dunk tanks, and other various games and activities.
Money raised at the event will go directly back to the school for some classroom upgrades
Leah Vincent, KPS PTA member and director of this years fundraiser, took time to answer some questions.
So this year our fall family fun night/festival, we’re hoping to raise funds that can go back into the classroom whether that be towards technology purposes and adding Chromebooks or other educational advancements that can benefit our students.
According to Mrs. Vincent the last few years have seen a dip in fundraising but she is hopeful for a bounce back year.
That confidence is thanks to a new addition this year with a silent auction taking place along with the raffle.
Raffle items that could be won include; a Chromebook, Kindle Fire, $100 gift card to Hobby Lobby, your child could be come principal for the day and even the chance to win a ride to school on a fire truck.
Items donated from around the community have been added to the silent auction including; bikes, gift cards, electronics and more.
The event will cost five dollars at the door and that cost also covers tickets for the inflatables and games.
This event is open to all members of the community and it looks to be a night of fun and games for all.
