Fee Assistance Program application deadline extended

If one child is awarded two scholarships, they must use one for swimming lessons.

The Kirksville Women of Today has established a new fee assistance program through the Kirksville Parks and Recreation Department.

Children ages 17 and under can apply for up to two $25 scholarships this summer. The scholarships can be applied to any recreation or aquatic program.

If one child is awarded two scholarships, they must use one for swimming lessons.

Applications are available at the Kirksville Aquatic Center, or you can search the city's website.

â??They had money left over after the first round of scholarships were awarded, so, we're taking more applications. If your child is interested in any of our programs, swim lessons, theatre camp, tennis lessons, put in an application. As long as you have proof of financial need, we'll try to help you out,â?? said Robin Harden of the Kirksville Aquatic Center.

The deadline for all applications has been extended to May 23rd.

For more information, you are encouraged to contact the Kirksville Aquatic Center at (660)-627-1485.
