Fifth person charged with manufacturing meth near school
Police have arrested a fifth person accused of manufacturing meth near a school. Authorities searched the home of Wendy Kite, 27, and found multiple items used to manufacture meth.
According to court documents, Kite was at the home prior to the search and left before the search was completed. She is charged with a class A felony of manufacturing a controlled substance within 2,000 feet of a school, and a class C felony of possession of a controlled substance. Kiteâ??s home is located near Truman State University.
There was a warrant out for Kite at the time of her arrest and she remains in the Adair County Jail with bail set at $25,000 cash only for forgery and $100,000 cash only for manufacturing meth near a school.
