Hundreds of people are gathered in Macon on this Saturday night to help fight and stand up for cancer.
The Relay for Life for Macon County is taking place at this hour at the Macon R-1 School lawn.
Since 4 p.m., people have been busy with a silent auction, games and other fun things for both kids adults to do.
"It's very exciting to have this many people here. The weather is night, it always makes it better. I know this is a very caring and giving community. Seeing people here reinforces that," said Publicity Char Modeste Ewing.
About 10 teams signed up for this year's event.
There was a victory lap for survivors while luminaries were lit to remember those who lost their battle.
If you want to join in on the festivities there is still time, the event will be going on until midnight.
