Final numbers in for Salvation Army 'Red Kettle Campaign'
With the close of the holiday season, the Salvation Army's 'Red Kettle Campaign' has come to an end.
The Kirksville Salvation Army received a total of $31,866 during this year's campaign. That's 79 percent of its $40,000 donation goal for the campaign.
The donations received during this year's holiday season are matching up with donations from past years. However, it's not too late to donate to the Salvation Army.
The organization is accepting donations until January 31st. Donations can be dropped off at the Kirksville Salvation Army Community Center on Gardner Street or at the Thrift Store on Baltimore Street. The Salvation Army is grateful for the donations and all the volunteers who worked to make this years 'Red Kettle Campaign' a success.
"The generosity of the heartland is what keeps us going and we still have until January 31st for people to get those last minute donations in," said Lt. Brian Bump of the Kirksville Salvation Army.
Once again, donations can be dropped off at the Kirksville Salvation Army Community Center or Thrift Store before January 31st.
