Fizz! Boom! Read! was a success for Heartland library
One summer program has come to end but it was a successful one for the Adair County Public Library.
Its Fizz! Boom! Read! Science Summer Reading Program had 635 kids signed up. All the kids read anywhere from three to 16 hours.
There was also great attendance at the speaker programs.
Librarians said this was one of the best and favorite programs they've had in a while.
"I think it was the theme and just the whole community coming together. I've had so many comments from parents about what a wonderful theme it is. Kids told me how great it was. It was a perfect program. It just all came together," said Children's Librarian Diane Burger.
Burger thanks the community and the speakers for all their support. She especially thanks the parents for encouraging their kids to read.
