Flags at half-staff for Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day

We honor those who died and were wounded during the attack on Pearl Habor, December 7th, 1941.

A 1996 Missouri state law directs that flags at state and local government buildings be flown at half-staff on this date in remembrance of the sacrifices made by our men and women in uniform.

In Iowa, Governor Terry Branstad ordered all flags be flown at half-staff this weekend in honor of Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day.

Businesses and other government subdivisions are encouraged to fly the flag at half-staff for the same length of time as a sign of respect.
