      Former Linn County man pleads guilty to federal child porn charges

      A former Linn County, Missouri man has pleaded guilty in connection with a federal child pornography case.

      The U.S. Attorney's Office says John Williamson, 35, formerly of Brookfield, now residing in Florida, pleaded guilty Monday to three counts of possession of child pornography.

      The crimes happened between November 2010 and September 2011. Each count carries a maximum penalty of ten years in prison and/or fines of up to $250,000. The agencies that investigated Williamson's case include the Kirksville Office of the FBI, the Kirksville Police Department, Brookfield Police Department, the Western Missouri Cyber Crimes Task Force, Clay County Sheriff??s Office and the Regional Computer Crimes Education and Enforcement Group.
