Four arrests made in rash of car thefts, one vehicle found in lake
So far, four arrests have been made in the rash of car thefts that took place last week.
18-year-old William Braxton McCarroll of Ottumwa is charged with several counts of theft and is currently in the Davis County jail on $10,000 cash only bond. 17-year-old Devan Edward Harland from Ottumwa is also charged with several counts of theft and is being held in the Lee County Juvenile Detention Center. 18-year-old Cody Allen Surber of Ottumwa is charged with one count of theft. 26-year-old Jesse James Clawson of Ottumwa is charged with possession of stolen property.

On Wednesday, a 1997 Oldsmobile that was stolen on June 17th was recovered from the bottom of Lake Arrowhead in Wapello County. The investigation into these thefts continues in Jefferson, Davis and Wapello counties.
