A multiple vehicle accident on Baltimore Street during rush hour sent one person to the hospital Wednesday.
Four trucks, including one belonging to the Missouri Department of Conservation, were involved in the incident. All four vehicles were traveling southbound on Baltimore Street.
The accident happened just before 5:30 p.m. in front of Lincoln Square Shopping Center. That section of Baltimore was blocked off, and traffic was rerouted onto different streets.
Kirksville Police told us one truck, driven by Melissa Miller of Kirksille, rear ended the Conservation Department vehicle which caused a chain reaction damaging two other vehicles.
Miller was life-flighted to University Hospital in Columbia and a spokesperson from the hospital tells us she is listed in critical condition.
No other drivers involved in the crash were hurt. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
