Area motorcyclists took a ride to Kirksville High School Friday to share a lesson in safety.
The Freedom of Road Riders group celebrated Motorcycle Awareness as they taught young drivers the importance of paying attention to motorcyclists.
Coordinator Deanna Rhodes says the group presented a Power Point presentation on blind spots and motorcyclist hand signals. She says she hopes the information will be shared with families and friends who may not have access to the information.
â??We're here to ask everyone to take it back to their parents to remember this when they're learning to drive. We're out there on the roads and we are mothers and fathers, grandmothers, sisters and brothers and we all want to come home to our families,â?? said Rhodes.
Freedom of Road Riders will celebrate Motorcycle Awareness for the entire month of May.
