Friday night, lines formed outside the NEMO fairgrounds for a good cause
The Faith Lutheran School's annual Fall festival is only one way the private school plans to bring in more students.
â??Faith Lutheran is a â??not for profitâ?? organization. We don't get any state funding or anything, so fund raising is a huge part of keeping our costs down and offering the community a Christian education. Tuition costs only cover about 75% of operating costs for the school, so fund raising is huge part of keeping it going,â?? said Tara Hettinger.
Since last year's festival, the school has seen an increase in the attendance. Fourth grader, Elizabeth Moots, is pleased with the new advantages the fund raiser has granted her.
â??I feel excited because last year, the school added a sixth grade on, because it was only preschool through fifth grade and now it's preschool through sixth grade and I get to stay next year and get a new teacher,â?? said Moots.
The community is always welcome to attend. This year's festival includes games, live auctions and lots of food.
