A northeast Missouri man wanted for hiding out from his parole officer is now in custody after leading authorities on a brief manhunt Friday afternoon.
The incident occurred just after 3:30 p.m. in La Plata.
An officer from the La Plata Police Department made contact with Trey Head, 29, of La Plata on the railroad bridge on North Brown Street.
Head was wanted on an active parole warrant.
Police say Head took off on foot onto the railroad tracks and then into a wooded area when the officer approached him.
A La Plata officer and a Macon County Sheriff's Deputy were able to locate Head about 40 minutes later, and the deputy proceeded to subdue the fugitive with a Taser.
After a Macon County ambulance vrew assessed Head, he was taken to the Macon County Jail where he awaits transfer to the Missouri Department of Corrections.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol's K-9 unit assisted in Friday's manhunt.
