Fugitive of the Week wanted on drug and burglary charges
Update: March 5, 2014 - On Tuesday, the Adair County Sheriffâ??s Office received a tip on the whereabouts of â??Fugitive of the Weekâ?? Brendan J. Harris. Deputies along with the Kirksville Police Department and the Missouri State Highway Patrol attempted to make contact with Harris at a residence located in Novinger, Mo.
After 45 minutes of attempting to get Harris out of the residence, he exited the back door and attempted to flee. He was captured after a short foot pursuit.
Harris is currently being held in the Adair County Detention Center on â??no bondâ?? warrants for Burglary and Receiving Stolen Property.
The Kirksville Police need your help locating another Fugitive of the Week.
Kirksville Police are attempting to locate Brendan Jay Harris, 20, in reference to arrest warrants from Adair County, Mo. for probation violation on an original charge of burglary and receiving stolen property and Audrain County, Mo. for failure to appear on possession of controlled substance, drug paraphernalia, and miscellaneous traffic offenses.
Harris is a white male, 6â??1â?? tall, 205 lbs, with brown hair and green eyes. Harris has both of his ears and lower lip pierced; a tattoo on left arm of a sacred heart and a raven and star with a rose. Harris also has unknown tattoos on his left ankle and right wrist.
Officers have attempted to make contact with Harris at his last known residence but have been unable to locate him. Harris has family in Kirksville but it is unknown if he is still in the area.
Kirksville Police attempted to make contact with a male believed to be Harris on Monday but the suspect fled on foot and was not located.
