Gearing up for the 2013 Home and Garden Show
Itâ??s that time of the year again to start planning for the 2013 Home and Garden Show in Ottumwa. The show will be taking place March 1, 2 and 3 at the Bridge View Center.
Ottumwa Chamber Director Terry McNitt said the show has sold out the past four years, filling up the entire 30,000 square foot exhibition hall and spilling into the hallway at Bridge View.
Last year, there were more than 110 exhibitors at the show and McNitt said space is filling up fast so to sign up as soon as possible if you would like to be an exhibitor.
This yearâ??s special guest is Jerry Kluver, a gardening guru.
â??We're going to have Jerry in the theater on Saturday which is going to be March 2 and we're going to start the show at 1:30 to 3 and there's going to be some special announcements and some incentives and some shopping sprees and some things that we're working with our sponsors on. And it's going to be really exciting. And for the kids we have contracted the Iowa State University insect show for the kids,â?? said McNitt.
In honor of the 20th year of the show, prices will be rolled back! It will be $5 for adults, $4 for kids 6 to 12 and age 5 and under are free.
