Getting to know more about Macon at Fork and Cork
In downtown Macon, people enjoyed a day of dining and shopping.
It was all part of the 6th annual Fork and Cork Festival.
People got a chance to enjoy shopping with outside vendors and the local area businesses.
Others took advantage of food while enjoying some entertainment and live music.
The Macon Downtown Association and the Macon Chamber of Commerce host this event every year to help bring awareness of the many things the Macon downtown district has to offer.
"Seeing the community come together. We are all working together to make businesses profitable. We have a wonderful district. It's just a great time," said Macon Downtown Association President.
There was also many local artists at the event to display their work for purchase and to stress the importance of embracing local artists.
There was also a 5K run and 2 mile walk.
