Gothic House casts for summer productions

The American Gothic Performing Arts Festival held auditions over the weekend for their upcoming summer productions.

Actors and actresses of all ages came out for the casting of 'Peter Pan' and 'Go, Dog, Go' at the Indian Hills Community College. Casting directors asked participants to move, dance and sing.

Judge Miriam Kenning got people moving, and AGPAF President Dennis Willhoit played the piano as he judged the singing portion of the auditions.

"The most fun part is the actual process of casting," Willhoit said. "Seeing what people can do and what they bring. They bring unique talents to us that kind of spark new ideas that you can include in your show because it's special and unique to that person."

Peter Pan and "Go, Dog, Go" will be performed in June and July at the Bridge View Center. The casts will be finalized over the next few days. You can check out on the American Gothic Performing Arts Festival website for updates on their selection.
