A Heartland library has received some new technology thanks to a grant.
The Schuyler County Library has been awarded the Kander Technology Grant. With the grant, the library purchased five computers. The grant that helped purchase the new technology was worth $5,200.
The new computers will allow more research and networking to be done at the library.
"Our patrons stay in touch with their family away from here. Facebook, networking, email. Several of our people come in and write resumes and just stay in touch," said Dianna Kinney, Schuyler County Librarian.
The library is also in the process of being awarded another grant. That grant will be used to buy new equipment to make bar-coding books easier.
