Harbor Freight Tools to open up shop in former Kirksville Hastings building
KIRKSVILLE, Mo. —
Another new retailer will soon call Kirksville home.
It has been confirmed that Harbor Freight Tools will open a shop in town.
The new hardware store will be located in the building that formerly housed Hastings on North Baltimore Street.
According to Harbor Freight's website, the company offers more than 7,000 quality-level tools and accessories, but for prices up to 80 percent less than similar stores.
The Kirksville Codes and Planning Department says Harbor Freight will use much of the Hastings building as is.
The company may add some space onto the back of the building to house offices, if necessary.
Harbor Freight currently has over 750 stores across the country.
Right now, the closest store locations to Kirksville are in Columbia, Missouri and Quincy, Illinois.
KTVO reached out to the Harbor Freight Corporation to see if they had an estimated opening date.
At this time, KTVO has not yet received a response.
