Have you cleaned out your closet recently?
If you havenâ??t the sisters of Tau Lambda Sigma (TLS) hope you will.
The Truman sorority is holding their semi-annual thrift shop fundraiser to benefit the American Cancer Society.
But first they must collect the clothes they will use to stock the event. The fundraiser was originally created to sell only prom dresses. But now the sorority sells clothing items of all kinds.
This event has been a tradition among the sisters. And it hits close to home for the ladies.
â??This is one of the main things we do each year. Itâ??s kind of something that all of us girls chip in together to do,â?? said Erica Nolan, Fundraising Chair for TLS. â??And itâ??s such a big deal because a lot of us have family members or friends that have suffered from cancer or we know of a teacher that has suffered from cancer.â??
The event will take place Monday, March 3rd, on campus in the Student Union Building from 10am to 3pm.
