Heartland church helps kids have fun in getting back to school
On this week's Faces of Faith...one Heartland church is helping its kids get ready for the new school year.
Faith United Methodist Church in Kirksville held its annual Back-to-School Bash on Sunday.
Immediately following its weekly worship service, everyone gathered at the church's playroom and kitchen for a carry-in picnic style lunch. It was followed by games, fun and fellowship.
Organizers said they just love to help and see the kids get pumped up to go back to school.
"We have a great group of kids. They like to have fun. It's good clean fun," said event organizer, Kristi Magruder.
The event brought out kids of all ages, ranging from pre-school all the way to college students.
All the students received treat bags while adults were able to get door prizes.
