Wed, 10 Jul 2013 16:57:43 GMT — Layoffs at one factory have hit the Heartland.ConAgra Foods home office in Omaha, Nebraska has confirmed to KTVO that 29 employees have been laid off at the Macon plant. Company officials say production volume at the Macon facility has had a downward trend the past few years, which in turn, caused the cutback. They say this will allow ConAgra to maintain competitive production costs. The layoff affected less than 10% of the 325 employees at the Macon location.
