Crews battle blaze in gusty winds
KIRKSVILLE, Mo. —
Kirksville firefighters are investigating what started a brush fire Monday afternoon down a hill at the end of a dead-end road.
It happened on the very west side of Kirksville, in the 2200 block of West Gardner Street.
Each Kirksville first responding department, ambulance, police and of course firefighters were called to the scene around 3:30 p.m.
Adair County firefighters also responded with a truck that's specially disgined for putting out brush fires.
Crews were careful to get the fire completely put out, because of the windy conditions and a few nearby homes.
