Kids came to the Adair County Public Library Tuesday morning to learn about the science behind weather.
KTVO Weekend Meteorologist Vanessa Alonso was guest speaker as she talked about broadcasting the weather.
She even talked to the kids about the dangers of severe weather and what causes it. The kids even got to learn about how tornados form and how to prepare for them.
Vanessa even brought along a few friends...Good Morning Heartland's Meteorologist Troy Moling and Samantha Olivia, The Weather Seal. Both of them helped get the kids excited about the weather.
Vanessa and Troy both said the talk was a lot of fun.
The talk was part of the library's "Fizz! Boom! Read!" summer program.
