UPDATE: Second suspect in custody for shooting of Heartland native
TULSA, Okla. —
UPDATE: The second suspect, Dillon Rose, turned himself in to police around 3 p.m. Thursday, KTUL reports.
One suspect is in custody and another wanted in the shooting death of a northeast Missouri native in Oklahoma.
KTUL in Tulsa reports that officers found Jason Harris, 38, dead in the passenger seat of a Jeep on the shoulder of Highway 169 Wednesday night. Harris is a native of Atlanta, Mo., and a graduate of Atlanta High School.
Sgt. Dave Walker of the Tulsa Police Department told KTUL that Harris had been shot. Police have recovered two guns, and investigators believe at least one of them was used to kill Harris.
One suspect, Dustin Baker, 29, has already been arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder.
Tulsa investigators are seeking a second suspect, Dillon Rose, 25, in the area. Officers have warned local residents that Rose should be considered armed and dangerous.
