The public was invited to an open house at Long Branch State Park in Macon.
Although no one showed up, they are moving right along with park improvements. They received $14,500 in general revenue to help install new BBQ grills, improve the campgrounds and install energy efficient lighting.
"Just an opportunity for the state park to visit in an informal setting and listen to the public thoughts and concerns about things that are going on in the park," said Jered Wisdom, Natural Resources Manager for Long Branch State Park.
It was all part of an ongoing effort by the Missouri State Parks to ensure citizens have input when it comes to facilities and services offered in state parks and historic sites.
