Heartland woman behind bars on meth charges
A Heartland woman is still behind bars after police arrested her on felony drug charges.
The Macon Police Department conducted an investigation into possible illicit drug use and possession in the 700 block of East Briggs Drive on Friday.
â??We received some information from a citizen about possible drug activity in an apartment on East Briggs Drive,â?? said Macon Police Department Chief Steve Olinger. â??The officers responded over there and spoke with a witness and started their own investigation. During their investigation it led them to an apartment where they were able to make contact with the occupants. While speaking with the occupants of the apartment and investigating the report, officers ended up searching the residence and at that time officers found evidence of drug use and paraphernalia inside of the apartment.â??
Police arrested Hannah Horehlad, 21, of Macon for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance (meth).
She remains in the Macon County Jail with bond set at $5,000 cash only.
