Heartland woman has been turning her trash into another??s treasure

Although a lot of the stuff people put out for sale is junk, Joetta Anesi has been turning her trash into another man's treasure for more than years.

It's summer time and almost every weekend, yard sales flourish around the Heartland.

Although a lot of the stuff people put out for sale is junk, Joetta Anesi has been turning her trash into another man's treasure for more than five years.

She calls her yard sale Mama's Odds and Ends, and every Friday and Saturday morning she sets up shop.

"We just had a lot of stuff laying around," said Joetta. "We thought it was time to get rid of some of it. We used to go to a lot of garage sales and stuff, had to quit that because you drag in too much stuff pretty soon."

Joetta says she normally pulls out her merchandise just before ten, and one day she hopes to move her yard sale inside.

If you would like to see Joetta's trash turn into your treasure, head over to Marion Street in Kirksville from 10-2 every Friday and Saturday.
