Heartland women prepare to compete in triathlon
Women from across the Heartland will be getting fit by participating in a triathlon.
Women students from Truman State University and A.T. Still University are partnering together and participating in an event called 'TriFahl'.
The competition will feature a 150 meter swim, 9.2 mile bike ride, and a 2 mile run. The triathlon will be held Saturday, March 29th, at Truman State University. 'TriFahl' is geared towards women who are new to competing in triathlons and wish to live a healthier lifestyle.
"I think it's really important because I think to be active and healthy makes you feel better. It's good for us to attempt that and then also I think the TriFahl has a sense of accomplishment with it," said Meegan Hand, a 'TriFahl Participant'.
