Help find missing Lockridge man

UPDATE: As of Monday morning, the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office still have no leads in the disappearance of Duane Hinkle. Several officers searched the area around his home throughout the weekend, and he was not located.

Police did provide a more current picture of Hinkle, shown here.

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Department is asking for the public's help to locate a missing Lockridge man.

Duane Hinkle, 62, was last seen Tuesday, Jan. 10. He was last heard from on a voice message left early Wednesday morning. He failed to show up to a meeting with his cousin, who then reported him missing. The photograph police have provided is the most recent they could find. It is around 10 years old.

"We got a search warrant, we went into Mr. Hinkle's house, Mr. Hinkle was not there, and all of his vehicles and everything is accounted for," Jefferson County Sheriff Jerry Droz said. "We just don't know where Mr. Hinkle is, and we'd sure like to have public assistance in locating him."

A search party gathered at Hinkle's home Thursday, and they assembled again Friday to cover the 800 acres surrounding Hinkle's home off 160th St.

Anyone who has seen or heard from Hinkle is urged to call the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office at 472-4146.
