Help this Heartland father with Leukemia
Many say donating blood is the gift of life and you can mark your calendars for a day where you can help a Heartland husband, father, brother and friend to many.
Friends of David Hall are putting together a blood drive in his honor.
Hall is actively involved in the Kirksville community and many of his coworkers, friends and family are asking that you come donate blood in honor of Hall, to show your support.
â??At first he was diagnosed with Myelofibrosis,â?? said Blood Drive Coordinator Sonya Ray.
â??In February of 2013 he was actually diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. He has been in and out of the hospital, had several different transfusions and his family and friends have just had a really hard time, so we want to do whatever we can to give back.â??
If you want to donate blood to help David Hall, the blood drive will be Wednesday, May 22 at the NEMO Fair Ground Multi-Purpose Building.
The drive will be from noon until 6 p.m.
The City of Kirksville, Kirksville Masonic Lodge #105 and Adair Lodge #366 are sponsoring the blood drive.
They would like to collect 150 units of blood, meaning they need 195 people to donate.
