St. Maryâ??s Catholic Church in Adair, Missouri, just 12 miles east of Kirksville, celebrated its homecoming, Sunday.
The church was built during 1904-1905 period, and only cost $10,000.
Church-goers say they have been working to restore the look of the church, and thanks to generous donations, they have.
â??We've been trying for years trying to restore it and as funds were available we did it,â?? said Rita Ludden, a church member. â??This year we got some unexpected donations and we have been working ever since the first of the year restoring on it and we're very proud of what we've done.â??
Church-goers say they love the number of generations represented within the historic Catholic Church. Theyâ??ve added statues to help restore the look of the church.
Members say they hold this homecoming the last Sunday in September, every year.
