Home movers seeing a bump in business
New data from this year came out from a suburban St. Louis based moving company that indicated that people are increasingly willing to move. St. Louis saw a 16% increase in moves compared to 2012. The most surprising fact about this trend is that the first quarter of the year, January thought March, are usually the slowest moving months of the year. With this data, we were curious to see if this trend also pertains to the city of Kirksville. So we went to Broyles Transfer and Storage to compare data.
â??This year had been remarkably good. We've increased our revenue compared to previous years, right at 50 percent. Overall its a good start to the year. We've actually seen an increase in our line hauls which is more than 25 miles away from Kirksville. January was a real big increase and February and March were pretty much normal. So overall there has been an increase,â?? said Jacob Condon owner of Broyles Transfer and Storage.
Nearly half of Americans say they feel more comfortable purchasing a home now than at any time over the past five years.
