The annual Indian Hills Community College faculty art exhibition kicks off Monday evening at the Ottumwa Campus Art Gallery.

The exhibition features the recent works of two full-time Indian Hills arts faculty, Mark McWhorter and Lisa Fritz.

There will be a wide range of media including acrylic paintings, water colors, colored pencils and pottery.

McWhorter said his favorite medium to work with is either clay or watercolor.

And heâ??s no stranger to Indian Hills.

â??Well Iâ??ve been here at Indian Hills since 1980 so Iâ??m almost a fixture I suppose and Iâ??m originally from Kentucky, went to college in Kentucky as well but been here so long that I almost feel like a native,â?? said McWhorter.

Monday evening is the exhibitâ??s opening reception from 7 to 8:30 and all are welcome to attend.

The gallery will be open 8 a.m. to 8:40 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 4:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Sundays. The exhibit runs through December 8.
