Tue, 15 Apr 2014 21:54:52 GMT — The 37th annual Indian Hills Foundation Scholarship Auction is just around the corner. Event organizers are now accepting miscellaneous items for the auction from people in the community. Donations in the past include home decor, things for the lawn and garden, books, computers and even cars. Clothing and box televisions are not being accepted however. Last yearâ??s event raised nearly $21,500. "Well it wouldn't happen without the community's support," Rhonda Conrad, IHCC Foundation executive director said. "We have so many businesses that give us items from their inventory. They give us gift certificates; they donate just a variety of things and then we also have the community who donates to the auction and a lot of our staff give items too, so this is not only donations from outside the college, but also thing from the college that we're not able to use anymore." Conrad says they are accepting donations up until the day before the auction. You are asked to call (641)-683-5115 if you are interested in contributing any items. The event will be held on Saturday April 26 starting at 9 a.m. at the IHCC North Campus.
