The Ottumwa Area Chamber of Commerce is recognizing local businesses through its IMAGE program.
IMAGE stands for imagine more attractive grounds and exteriors.
The program recognizes the efforts of businesses that demonstrate a clear and consistent desire to maintain or improve their properties and whose efforts are a model and inspiration for others to follow.
"It's just a recognition type program," said Ottumwa Chamber of Commerce Director Tim Kurtz, "and we want to give people credit for sprucing up their buildings and making the business more attractive."
The selected business will receive a plaque presented by the Ottumwa mayor, Chamber Director, and committee representatives.
The IMAGE award is presented quarterly each calendar year.
All nomination forms must be received in the Chamber of Commerce Office by the first day of the month prior to the new quarter.
