Indian Hills inspiring leaders for the future

Indian Hills Community College is attempting to bolster leadership in the Ottumwa area.

They will hold the first ever Leadership Now Conference on November 1st.

The conference will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is co-sponsored by the ISU Extension, Ottumwa Leadership Academy, and Action Coach Heartland.

The goal of the conference is to facilitate leadership focused on issues that affect the region.

The conference will feature keynote speaker James Autry, a former fortune 500 executive. Anyone interested in learning more about leadership may attend.

â??When we talk about economic development in our region, and trying to group so many of the initiatives we have here, leadership is crucial to that conversation. You really can't get anything accomplished unless you have strong, solid leadership,â?? said Ashley Moyer, Indian Hills REA coordinator.

Conference tickets cost $49 or $39 for alumni of any of the sponsoring organizations.
